Our Story
Built on Craft. Defined by Standard.
Nearly two decades of work on the most demanding properties along the Eastern Seaboard. We didn't grow by cutting corners — we grew because we never did.
The Standard
Why We Work the Way We Do
Every decision we make — the products we specify, the prep work we insist on, the time we allow between coats — comes from a single question: will this still look right in ten years? If the answer is uncertain, we change the approach.
We've turned down projects that didn't allow for proper preparation. We've walked off jobs where shortcuts were demanded. That reputation for stubbornness is, we've found, exactly what our clients are paying for.
How We Work
Four Principles. No Exceptions.
Preparation is the work
Eighty percent of a lasting finish happens before the first coat is applied. We allocate time and budget accordingly — and we don't negotiate on this.
No subcontractors
Every person on your property is a Coastal Edge employee. We hire slowly, train extensively, and hold our crews to a standard that outside labor cannot match.
Honest timelines
We tell you how long a job will take and we mean it. We don't compress schedules to win bids, and we don't extend them to pad invoices.
The right product for the surface
We specify coatings based on substrate, exposure, and longevity — not margin. If a premium product is the right answer, we say so and explain why.
The Craftsmen
Our crews are not subcontracted. Every painter who works under the Coastal Edge name is a full-time employee, trained in our methods, and accountable to our standard.
